Bts: My origin Story + My Passion for Photography

Hi, I’m Andrew

Cameras have been part of my story for as long as I can remember. My mom was a foster mom for newborns, and she always had a camera in hand. She wanted the adoptive parents to have photos from their baby’s very first days; something tangible they could treasure forever. I can still picture her dropping film off at Walgreens, then handing stacks of prints to families starting a new chapter.

And here’s the part that shaped me the most: I was actually my parents’ first foster child and they adopted me. So for me, photos have never just been photos. They’ve always been about love, connection, and the beginning of something bigger.

Like a lot of people, I didn’t set out to be a photographer. I got a business degree, worked a corporate job, and thought photography would always stay a hobby. But when I moved out to Oregon, surrounded by rugged coastlines, mountain trails, and endless forests, I picked up my camera again. At first it was landscapes, then portraits of friends… and eventually, someone asked me to photograph their wedding.

That was the turning point. I’d grown up watching rom-coms and happy endings, and here was the real-life version of that, two people on one of the happiest days of their lives, surrounded by all the people they love. I was hooked.

I grew up in Texas in a big family where everyone lived within twenty minutes of each other. Now that I live across the country, I realize how rare it is to have all your people together in one place. Parents, grandparents, childhood friends, those moments are fleeting, and weddings are often the one day when everyone shows up.

That’s why I do what I do. Wedding photography isn’t just about creating beautiful images, it’s about preserving the people, the relationships, and the emotions that make your story yours.

If you’re looking for photos that feel true to you: candid, vibrant, and full of heart! I’d love to be there to capture it.

why choose me as your photographer?

Digital Meets Film Energy

Candid Over Curated

Calm Presence, Fun Energy

I shoot both digital and film because they each bring something different. Digital catches the fast moments, film slows it all down.

I’m not into overly staged photos or fake smiles. I’ll guide you into good light and help with what looks best, but the goal is to keep it honest with real laughter, the random hugs, and those “holy crap we just got married” moments.

My job is to be your steady in the chaos. I read the room, keep things chill, and make sure you actually enjoy your day. You’ll never feel like you’re in a production, it’ll just feel like hanging out while I happen to take really good photos.

Both Photo+Video

Real Vibes, No Weird Posing

Aesthetic, Romantic, & Natural

No juggling a separate team or worrying about clashing styles. My photo and video work together seamlessly to tell your story with the same color, tone, and emotion. Everything feels cohesive and cinematic like your day deserves.

No awkward prom poses or forced smiles here. I use easy prompts that help you connect naturally and look your best without overthinking it. Think: movement, real emotion, and photos that still make you feel something 50 years from now.

My photography style is all about capturing the candid, natural beauty of your love. We'll take awesome portraits because it's your wedding and you're the main character!
